The Bridge Collection is a body of donated art by regional artists in celebration of Breaux Bridge's 150th anniversary of incorporation. Artists and photographers were asked to create their vision of the iconic bridge that crosses the Bayou Teche in downtown.
To date, forty-three local artists have submitted work to the city-owned collection which is an ongoing, public exhibition that is free to the public.
The Bridge Collection is now on display at The Glass Room on Bridge Street in Breaux Bridge (adjacent to Lagniappe Antiques)
The Bridge Collection will be part of the Atchafalaya Hertiage Area, "Experience Atchafalya Days" from October 1 to October 31, 2011. The exhibit will be featured at the Capitol Park Welcome Center at 702 North River Road in Baton Rouge.
